Free

I remember wanting to get out of my hometown because I wanted to be "free.". It wasn't until rather recently I realized I really was free. I always was. I really want to be free of guilt, worry, and responsibility. That's real freedom but it's not really living.

I wanted to escape and start fresh. It sounds easier than dealing with rumors but it's not. Friends and friends of friends may have high expectations but they are also more forgiving.

It came to me when I had a student who wanted to quit band because she was mad at me. I told her she could be mad and get over it without quitting. We've got to remember to teach our children these things instead of letting them believe they already know what's best.

I was free once. I think it was a Tuesday. 1987.

Good to see you post, Dwayne.

I agree with you about teaching our children. I believe children will always think they know best, though. I certainly did. Damned if my kids didn't think the same way.

They are very attractive personalities and tend to weather most storms with style and humour, everyone loves a Leo, but this in itself can lead to a tendency to be a little bit of overbearing pride and often with Leonians, some humility would not go amiss!
